AI for a changing climate. Insight for a living planet.

Green Horizon AI Scholars, Inc. is a nonprofit organization focused on climate change and nature conservation. We bring artificial intelligence together with scientific monitoring to understand environmental change, identify emerging risks and help conservation teams protect ecosystems, biodiversity and the communities that depend on them.

Our mission

Green Horizon AI Scholars, Inc. uses artificial intelligence to address climate change, protect natural ecosystems and sustain biodiversity and community well-being.

Understand climate risks

Warming, heatwaves and shifting rainfall put ecosystems under pressure. Our focus is to connect environmental observations with AI analysis so that gradual changes and emerging extremes become easier to identify, compare and use in adaptation planning.

Protect ecosystems and biodiversity

Healthy forests, wetlands, coasts and oceans support interconnected species and habitats. We pursue AI methods that help interpret imagery, track habitat change and connect local observations over time, giving conservation teams stronger evidence for protection and restoration priorities.

Support conservation decisions

Environmental data matters when it helps someone decide where to look and how to respond. We aim to turn complex observations into clear risk information, comparable records and practical decision support, shaped by conservation needs and checked against field evidence.

ReefBeacon

Our operating coral reef project combines AI-assisted analysis with scientific monitoring, bleaching risk alerts and conservation data support. ReefBeacon follows daily NOAA heat-stress data for 65 stations across 8 ocean regions, helping teams identify reefs that need attention. Survey-photo interpretation and trend reports connect daily risks with longer-term reef conditions. The goal is to support reef protection, marine biodiversity and the well-being of coastal communities.

From environmental signals to conservation action

  1. Observe environmental change

Start with satellite records, environmental measurements and field observations. Understand what each source covers, how often it updates and where gaps remain before drawing conclusions about climate or ecosystem change.

  2. Analyze with AI and science

Use AI to help recognize patterns, interpret images and connect observations across time. Ground risk assessments in scientific methods and preserve the sources and uncertainty needed to review the results.

  3. Support action and follow-up

Bring findings into monitoring plans, site assessments and conservation priorities. Combine risk information with local expertise, then use follow-up observations to understand how conditions develop and refine the next response.
