Artificial intelligence is no longer a specialist topic. It already shapes how people work, learn, create and are governed. That is why Green Horizon AI Scholars Inc was organized for charitable, educational and scientific purposes: to advance education, scientific research and public understanding of AI, AI ethics, governance, technology, intellectual property and related fields.
Education is the first public good
Most people meet AI as a product, not as a system they can inspect. Open curricula, workshops and mentoring give students and the public a way in — not to become engineers overnight, but to ask better questions and to reuse what they learn.
Ethics and governance are not extras
Rules, incentives and institutional design decide who benefits from these systems and who is left out. Research that ignores ethics and governance is incomplete; teaching that ignores them is misleading.
Technology and intellectual property set the terms of reuse
What can be studied, shared and built upon depends on technical design and on intellectual-property rules. Public understanding of those terms is part of scientific literacy, not a side issue for lawyers.
What we will publish
ReefBeacon, our first public program, will carry explainers and research notes on these questions for readers in the United States and worldwide. This article is a starting point, not a syllabus — the syllabus will follow in the open.
